Garden History can be the most rewarding area of study. Here at Hampton Court, London, it is easy to see the layout of the gardens, and the framework of the design, during winter. Its clean lines and interesting features reflect the William and Mary gardens at Het Loo, Holland. The landscape is uncluttered sporting a minimum of spring flowers that don't yet detract from the full appreciation of the design.
