Hestercombe connection

Bergenia was a favourite of Gertrude Jekyll and adds greenery all year round.  Her gardens in Hestercombe illustrated this principle well. A winter bloom or early spring after the snow, this plant thrives with its roots secured under these stones. The sunlight through the leaves gives added pleasure.
